V O LLEY B A LL We came, we saw, we conquered. .. six premierships from six divisions, what a season! We came. .. it was very pleasing to add a very strong Year 8 age group to our squad this Year. The Interhouse Volleyball Competition held for all Year 8 students in Term One, assisted in identifying the players that would prove to give this age group such success Training for the 2003 Brisbane Girls Grammar School Volleyball Squad commenced in Term 11. Congratulations are extended to every member in all eight teams who trained with commitment and enthusiasm We saw. .. Grammar volleyballers enjoyed a successful aGSSSA season. This Year we were fortunate enough to have a second Senior B and Year 10 team, boosting the number of volleyballers to 82 Both of these teams were very successful, finishing third and seventh respectively. Grammar volleyballers also competed on a wider stage, with the Year 8.9,10i and it and Open teams competing at the Queensland Schools Cup. it is impossible to underestimate the importance of these outside competitions or the opportunities they provide, to enhance Grammar's success in the aGSSSA Competition We conquered. .. The eight teams in the Brisbane Girls Grammar School Volleyball Program for 2003 achieved outstanding results. representing a new standard of excellence that will stand as a challenge for the teams of Grammar volleyballers to come. The Year 8.9, Senior B, Senior A and Open teams completed the u ridefeated season as Premiers and the Year 10i team finished equal Premiers.

it is important to express our appreciation to the mainly past-student coaches and to Mrs Nisbett for her dedication and organisation. She has created a program with longevity which-sets a standar for others to emulate Kirby Short Captain
