SWI M MIN G The swimming season began with a pre season camp held at Runaway Bay Sports Super Centre. Fifty-two girls completed seven intensive one and a half hour training sessions. shopping trips to Harbour Town and team cohesion activities The Inter house Swimming Carnival proved to be a very successful event. All students were given an opportunity to compete for their Houses, and Swimming Squad members experienced the atmosphere of Chandler and the race conditions of the pool, two weeks prior to the aGSSSA championships. Gibson swept the "pool", winning all three cups. Age champions were Peta Masters (8W); Sally Faraquhar
relays. Grammar placed in the top four from thirteen relays, this included one first placing in the 14 Year Freestyle Relay Division B. The members of this team were lessie Kleist, Me lissa Sharpless, Arithea Flint and Indigo Sussmilch Natalie Davies was the only individual winner of the day in the 14 Years 50m Freestyle Division D. The swimmers' strength and teamwork were obvious throughout the carnival and many girls swam "personal bests" on the day Danielle Gregory and Joanna Moore Captains
