PERSONAL ITEMS. Hilda Truesdale has been appointed to the Church of England Girls' Grammar School, Newcastle. Edna Hill is still carrying on her work as Principal of the Pre-School Kindergarten Model Centre, Brisbane. Edna Leven (now Mrs. Lister Hopkins) is living in Jemsalem, where her husband is Assistant Statistician in the Government Service. Bess Duncan• is teaching at the Bowen High School and is enjoying her work immensely. · Jean Boase has resigned from the Domestic Science Branch of the Education Department and is now nursing at the Brisbane General Hospital, where she is very happy. Muriel Hutchings is living in Sydney. Eileen Reimers has completed her medical course and is now at the Brisbane General Hospital with Dr . Venda Glover. Kath. Sully (Mrs. I. Stewart) is living in Melbourne where her husband is engaged in Scientific Research. Marjorie Greenhalgh spent several weeks' holiday in Brisbane this year. Lois Lenihan has her A.T.C.L. Lorna Green is in England serving in the Women's Auxiliary Territorial Service. Ethel Donaldson is in camp at Enoggera training for overseas service as a V.A.D. Evelyn McKellar is doing full-time V.A.D. duties at Enoggera. Marion Bentley has been sent from England to South Africa to do secretarial work for the War Office. Amy King-Koi is engaged in munitions work in Melbourne. Alma Hartshorn is Assistant Commandant at the Northern Command Ausralian Women's Army Service. Nancy Pollock is in the W.A.A.A.F. and did her training in Melbourne. Elsie Harwood is back at the University demonstrating in the Philosophy Department. Mirva Colvin is now on the School Staff. Eunice James is teaching at St. Margaret's. Marjorie Elliott is a member of the Eme rgency Fire Fighters Precautionary League. (P.S.-She looks very snappy in her tin hat). Margaret de Visme Gipps has published a Slender Volume of Poems "Faun" which has been favourably reviewed. It would be of great assistance to the Committee of Old Girls would send in news items for these_ notes. With so much happening we feel that we have omitted many very interesting pieces of news but we implore you to- help us with this next year. Old Girls are urged to send in nominations to the Secretary for the· positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Asst. Secretary, as these positions will be vaeanl in the New Year. This is definitely not for the Committee, but for You!
