We hope to be able to display some of our work on Speech Day. Learning these crafts has been appreciated by each mem- ber, and we thank Miss Lilley very much for the opportunity allowed us. Miss Cottew kindly assisted us, and all members are very grateful for her instruction. ยท E.F. and OK, IV. C.

HANDICRAFT CLUB. A group of thirty girls had the pleasure of meeting every Friday afternoon and spending many enjoyable hours together during the winter months. The first craft shown us was bead-making; attractive beads were made from rolled wallpaper. Some of the girls made other necklets and presented them to bazaars to be sold for patriotic funds. We planned our own designs and 'pokered' and painted them on suede mats and wooden articles. A craft quite new to us was making fobs and shoulder posies from coloured felt; we are rather proud of the profes- sional neatness of these dress accessories. So as to understand more of the principles of printing, lino- cuts were designed, cut and printed.
