Year 12 50 Days Celebration
On 22 August, our Year 7 buddies hosted the Last 50 Days celebration for the Year 12 cohort. This symbolic event mirrored the First 50 Days celebration that the Year 12 students organised for the Year 7s earlier this year. As we approach our final days at BGGS, this event also provided a moment for reflection on what we will miss most after graduation, shared with those who made our time at BGGS incredibly special. The Last 50 Days celebration aimed to honour not only our imminent graduation, but also the time our cohort has spent together at BGGS and the connections we have made with one another. With music, House-themed decorations and delicious food arranged by our buddies, the event fostered a strong sense of community.
It truly enabled the Year 12 cohort to enjoy time with their friends and buddies in a joyful and celebratory atmosphere. The Year 12s sincerely thank our Year 7 buddies for organising such a memorable event and for making our final year at BGGS unforgettable. Hedyeh Nouri (12G)
On 22 March, the Year 12 cohort and their Year 7 buddies celebrated the Year 7s First 50 Days at Girls Grammar. The lunchtime picnic on the Pool Lawn aimed to bookend the Year 12s annual Last 50 Days celebration held later in the year. The Year 7s enjoyed a casual lunch with their buddies who all brought in delicious food. The girls also had their photos taken at the photo wall—complete with a giant ‘50’ balloon—with their buddies. Every Year 7 girl was also gifted a ‘50 Days’ ribbon to wear on the celebratory day. While the successful event was organised by the Year 7 Prefects, it could not have been possible without the assistance of the Year 7 coordinators, Mrs Sacha Cross and Ms Rachael Christopherson. Year 7 50 Days Celebration The Year 7s have already participated in some of the School’s most significant events and co-curricular activities, however, they have only experienced a fraction of what is to come throughout their Girls Grammar journey. We are all immensely proud of how well the Year 7s have settled in thus far. Molly Miller (12W) and Molly Cooper (12W) Year 7 Prefects
