Rowing

Rowing at Girls Grammar is a sport defined by determination and dedication, which encourages many girls to participate. Despite the early mornings and long hours spent training on the water, the camaraderie we share is unparalleled, and in 2024, we truly embodied our motto: One Crew in the Grammar Blue.

River we proudly secured 3rd place in overall point standings, with 11 out of 19 crews reaching the podium. Our Year 10 First Quad, Year 10 single sculler and Year 12 single sculler sealed golds, and the Open First Eight finished in an admirable 3rd place. Every Year-level had enthusiasm, remained dedicated, and shared countless moments of joy, making the shed feel like a true home away from home. Under the guidance of Ms Caitlin Hockings in her first year as our rowing coordinator, we tackled challenges head-on and emerged stronger than ever. The season started with standout performances at the BSRA Indoor Ergo Championships, where we broke records and secured six podium places. This success continued throughout the season, and at the BSRA Head of the
