INTERHOUSE SWIMMING CARNIVAL

The Interhouse Swimming Carnival on 21 February was a thoroughly enjoyable day filled with spirit, effort, and enthusiasm. From the 50 m Freestyle Championships to the lifesaving relay, the energy at Chandler was undeniable. Following our flood-impacted Swimming Carnival of 2022, it was obvious we were all excited to be back in the pool. Whether racing towards personal bests, giving butterfly a go, or simply cheering in the stands, every girl contributed to the exciting atmosphere. Congratulations to Lilley House who emerged victorious, winning the Lilley Interhouse Swimming Cup for most aggregate House points, followed closely by Griffith House and Hirschfeld House. Hirschfeld was doubly successful on the day, taking victory in the coveted lifesaving relay. Notably, Karla Rimmington (10L) was awarded the School Swimming Championship, and Cate Ward (10B) won the 50 m Freestyle Championship. The full list of Age Champions is available below. We thank Ms Euler Welsh and Ms Mynott for their support of the event, and Ms Taylor, Ms Gooden, and all other staff involved for their hard work—it made our Interhouse Swimming 2023 a day to remember.
