Music

• Sophie Shan (11E) performed a solo recital (piano) in Carnegie Hall, New York at the Winners Recital of the Crescendo International Competition in January.

• Zara Hosking (8G), Lisa Walsham (8R), Laura Hall (11L), Xinting (Vivian) Wang (11L) and Bryleigh Parsons-Pope (12B), were selected to participate in the Queensland Conservatorium of Music Australian Honours Ensemble Program.

• Xinting (Vivian) Wang (11L) was awarded an Associate in Music, Australia (AMusA) on Flute.

• Annabelle Khoo (12W) was awarded a Distinction with 100 per cent in her Grade 8 Trinity College, London Classical Voice Exam.

• Abigail Chadirchi (11L) achieved a Distinction for her Grade 8 Rockschool Drum Kit exam in September (RSL Level 3 Certificate in Popular Music Performance).

• Remi Hirayama (10L) participated in the annual Una Morgan Harp Competition organised by the Harp Society of Queensland.

• Mia Li (12R) won the Australian Society for Music Education Young Composer’s Competition 2020 Showcase.
