2020 Annual Review

• Ellie Kendall (8G) was selected in the Under 15 Queensland Hockey Team to compete in the National Championships in Bathurst, New South Wales in the Easter holidays (subsequently cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions). • Emma Greenwood (10R) qualified for the Queensland School Sport Triathlon team to represent Queensland at the National Triathlon in March in Hervey Bay (subsequently cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions). • Zoe McElwaine (7G) qualified for the Queensland School Sport Aquathon team to represent Queensland at the National Aquathon in March in Hervey Bay (subsequently cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions). • Emily Ryan (9E) won the Queensland Girls Tennis Singles Championships claiming the title of State Champion for Queensland Secondary Schools (13-19 years) and was to lead the Queensland team at the Australian Championships in Perth in May (subsequently cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions); Emily was also selected in the Queensland School Sport 13-19 Year Tennis Merit Team 2020, following the Queensland School Sport (QSS) State Championships. • Zoe McElwaine (7G) placed 1st in the 12 Years Queensland All Schools Cross Country Meet with a time of 11min 13sec for the 3km race; Zoe also placed 2nd in the 12 Years Division at the Queensland State Cross Country Championships. • Julie-Ann Dziaduch (11R) placed 2nd in the 80cm class at the South East Queensland Equestrian Interschool Show jumping Competition; Eloise Doerfer (11G) placed 3rd in the same 80cm class. • Ellie Kendall (8G), Ashley Foster-McGinn (10B) and Olivia O’Brien (11R) represented Metropolitan North Hockey at the State Championships. • Sabine Hatzipetrou (11M) competed in the Queensland State Schools (QSS) Water Polo Championships and was announced in the 2020 QSS Girls Water Polo Merit Team; Sabine was also selected in the Under 18 LA Olympic Games National Youth Squad and attended a national identification camp in September October on the Sunshine Coast. • Karla Rimmington (7L) was selected in the Queensland School Sport 12 Years Hockey Merit Team 2020, following the Queensland School Sport (QSS) State Championships. • Amy Middlemass (10M), Sabine Hatzipetrou (11M), Isabel Lumley (11M) and Finn Magill (11H) were selected to play in the Queensland Premier League Water Polo. The girls join Abby Andrews (2017) and Gabriella Palm (20175) in this competition. • Matilda Fennon (9W), Mink Godfrey-Asseraf (10M) and Eden Thomas (10H) were selected in the Metropolitan North Basketball Team that competed at the Queensland State Championships. • Sophie Martin (7M), Ava Spencer (7B), Elise O’Kane (8H) and Amreen Kahlon (9B) competed for Metropolitan North Cricket at the Queensland State Championships.
