SENIOR MUSIC PRODUCTION— TRACKS

W ithout a doubt, the highlight of Year 12 Curriculum Music is the Senior Music Production. This year, the cohort recomposed the soundtrack to Tracks —a film detailing protagonist Robyn Davidson’s trek across the Australian desert with her dog, Diggity. To execute this monumental task, each girl composed up to six minutes of music for her scene. This was then compiled masterfully by Music Teacher, Mr McGrath, into a full-length score spanning 113 minutes. Countless hours of rehearsal in collaboration with the Rue Arts String Quartet resulted in an unforgettable live performance of the score—an irreplaceable opportunity for the cohort.
