YEAR 9 VISUAL ART Y ear 9 Visual Art has taught us to weave the fabric of our world into poetic creations through media such as paint, charcoal and cardboard. We have grown throughout the journey of laying down ‘an object’s soul on paper’, trekking through Spring Hill to capture moments and spin them into paint. We also used works of local artists such as Terry Summers to gather images and ideas which were slowly transformed into analytical essays. Visual Art this year has been an enriching and inspiring experience. Eleanor Cowen (9L)

YEAR 12 VISUAL ART I n 2019, the Year 12 Visual Art cohort was given the opportunity to apply their intertextual knowledge and passions to create two main artworks under the themes of ‘The Fabric of Life’ and ‘The Human Condition.’ Visual Art has provided students with the chance to explore abstract ideas through creative methods. We are given the freedom to apply our creativity through a plethora of different mediums, to explore our passions and go on personal journeys, or to simply dig deeper. Within a small classroom environment all students are encouraged to extend their knowledge and skills to produce works of which we are proud. Piper Van Der Westhuizen (12O)
