YEAR 7 INTERHOUSE MATHS QUIZ Y ear 7 girls thoroughly enjoyed working with their teammates to solve questions in this year’s Interhouse Maths Quiz. From estimation to speed rounds, every moment of the competition was filled with excitement and good sportsmanship. A highlight of the competition was the trivia round. The room was filled with whispering students frantically scribbling to solve problems. Congratulations to Woolcock House on winning the competition. Thank you to the Maths teachers who assisted on the afternoon and Mrs Mazzaglia for organising the competition. Molly Cooper (7W), Molly Miller (7W), Sargun Virk (7W) and Emma Wong (7W) YEAR 7 SIGMA MATHS Y ear 7 Sigma Maths is a fun space where students interested in Mathematics can improve and develop their problem solving skills while getting to know other like-minded students. This year, Sigma Maths was organised by Mathematics Teacher, Mrs Mazzaglia, who was very important in helping us extend our maths skills. Throughout the year, we prepared for and participated in many different competitions including the Australian Problem Solving Mathematics Olympiad, Year 7 Interhouse Maths Quiz and Australian Mathematics Competition. It was a very enjoyable experience which has sparked our interest in participating in more activities like this throughout our years to come at Girls Grammar.
