YEAR 12 CHEMISTRY

Year 12 Chemistry hit the ground running this year, learning about rates of reaction and equilibrium in Term 1. These concepts helped students balance their commitments as they completed their last Extended Experimental Investigation. In Term 3, we studied redox chemistry and gas laws before exploring organic chemistry in Term 4.

YEAR 12 PHYSICS

Senior Physics is intended for students wanting to extend their knowledge and undertake challenging concepts. The most rewarding task was the Extended Experimental Investigation, where students attained quantitative solutions to complex and practical problems of personal interest. During this task, students were required to independently research relevant theory and conduct individually designed experimentation. Throughout this process, we were provided with continuous guidance from our insightful teachers, Dr Stephens, Mr Allinson, Ms Bernard, Ms Keating and laboratory technician, Mr Lumsden. Students were also given access to advanced technology and equipment such as 3D printers. Senior Physics was a phenomenal journey and never ceased to amaze and enlighten us.
