YEAR 9 SCIENCE In Year 9 Science, we explored the fascinating world of Biology and ecology as we learned the effects a modern society has on the environment. In Term 2, we moved on to Physics where we were challenged to expand our knowledge and tackle the exciting area of electricity. In Term 3, we explored the language of Chemistry through the study of chemical reactions before learning about the solar system and the galaxy in Term 4. Year 9 Science at Girls Grammar has been a challenging but enjoyable opportunity to learn more about YEAR 10 BIOLOGY From reproduction and genetics to evolution and biotechnology, Year 10 Biology students immersed themselves in the inner workings of the human body and how the world we live in has evolved. Not only have we enhanced our knowledge but we have also developed our experimental skills, specifically when investigating antibiotic resistance. Year 10 Biology has prepared us for our future senior biological studies. Gia Cayas (10G), Claire Saggers (10O), Matina Samios (10W) and Sophie Watson (10E) the world and beyond. Clare Fitzpatrick (9O) YEAR 10 CHEMISTRY This year in Chemistry we explored a range of exciting new topics and more complex concepts including rates and reactions, the mole and ocean chemistry. Studying Chemistry has allowed us to acquire numerous valuable skills through fun experiments, research investigations and engaging classroom discussions. The self-guided assessment styles in our e-book have enabled girls to take initiative and be proactive in their studies. Matisse Black (10H) and Fiona Brown (10G) YEAR 10 PHYSICS

Year 10 Physics involved studying forces, momentum, light and lenses. We are also learned to access Dorothy Hill Observatory remotely. Physics gives such a different but interesting approach to everyday items, and I really look forward to continuing it in my senior years.. Tiarne Graves (10L)
