FRENCH

Year 11 French students participated in several fantastic events, class discussions and were challenged to extend their knowledge this year. In Term 1, Year 11 and 12 French students were invited to attend a French dinner at Marist College Ashgrove. While enjoying a traditional meal, each group partook in a French quiz, which consolidated many of the topics covered in class including identity, personal relationships and family life.

French exchange students from International Affiliate School, Lyce´e Saint Paul in Angouleme, were also welcomed to Girls Grammar in Term 1. The topic for Term 2 was holidays, where we spoke about previous, future and dream vacations. In Term 3, as part of our study of cinema and theatre, we were invited to attend a hilarious French play, He´las Avril, at Metro Arts Theatre. Jessica McLeod (11M)
