YEAR 9 INTERDEPENDENCE
I have enjoyed so much about this camp. Especially getting away from technology and city life for a while. I have learnt that when people get low on sleep they can get impatient. All the times sitting under the tarp at campout, around the candle light, laughing with everyone was really nice. To my future self… don’t take everything so seriously. You can just loosen up and take everything as it comes. Taking time to just appreciate all the little things and take in your surroundings is really nice. Your whole life isn’t evolved around technology so don’t be obsessed with it.

Year 9 camp was fun. Although it was refreshing to get away from technology for a week, the week was kind of tough. Bike riding was fun, especially down the bitumen hill. First night of campout was long and challenging, but exploring the forest was nice. I learned that focusing on the task at hand helped me to stop thinking about things I would rather be doing this helped me through campout. I’m so grateful to have such an amazing group of friends to share camp with. My advice is to keep occupied and not think about where you’d rather be, just accept the situation.
I was happy and content when I saw all the beautiful nature around us when we were on canoes. On the lake there were tress sunken into the water which looked very mysterious but quite pretty.
