Another year of Rowing has come and gone. Plenty of new rowers from all grades and levels of experience have joined the group with many achievements. To the excitement of all rowers. we entered competition season with a new scull and new oars and. for the first time since 2006. the team had enough rowers to fill a third eight Rowing safety. Come and Try. Indoor Ergo Competition. State Championships and regattas provided each girl with the opportunity to try her skills and challenge herself. All rowers proved themselves as they rose to the challenge of our motto - 'One Team. One Dream. in 2013' - by connecting as a family and gaining important life skills and friendships along the way

Rhythmic Gymnastics this year has been an absolute 'ball'. The team jumped, leaped. turned. flipped. twirled. and laughed with vim and vigour After an entire term of training. the holidays came. and along with them. holiday training - two days jam-packed with fun and exciting activities. Some of these included a ballet class. a sausage sizzle. dancing the Nutbush. various training exercises and plenty of games. Soon after. we held a fabulous showcase to show off our new skills to friends and-family On 2 August. the Rhythmic girls competed in the aGSSSA Rhythmic Gymnastics competition. it was a great day filled with smiles. sparkles and lots of sugar The new leotards looked absolutely stunning and everyone looked great in them. Ms EUler made a special appearance to support the girls, even though she had Open Day duties on the day. Thank you to both Ms EUler and Mrs Tudball for coming to watch us perform Everyone performed brilliantly and we achieved some amazing results The competition this year was tough and included many gymnasts who compete at National level. so the whole team should be proud of themselves. The success of all our gymnasts can be measured by the effort. the new skills learnt, the friendships and the determination to do our best on the day - not just in our results! I'm proud of all of you A big thank you to all our coaches and to Ms Van Hornrigh. our co- ordinator, who was always there for us. it has been an absolute pleasure to be the Rhythmic Gymnastics Captain this year

All girls raced exceptionally well and, overall. Grammar placed a commendable fifth. with eight crews placing in the top three. Congratulations to scullers Lucy Stevens (8H) and Josephine The lie (11G) for their tremendous efforts in placing third in their races. Also placing in the top three in their respective races were: Year 8 Seconds. Thirds and Sevenths; Year 9 Firsts and Sixths; and Year 10 Firsts Overall. rowing has been a great way to challenge ourselves physically. meet new people and have a break from school work. We all had a great time this year and are looking forward to the new year and the new challenges we are sure to find KATJA I'ANSON q2M) & ANNA KRETOWICZ q2W), CAPTAINS
