fantastic achievements and we were so proud not only of our Year 8 buddies but of their massive maroon cheering squad who came to support them at every event. We celebrated this early success by throwing our annual House Party where some healthy competition was fostered through skits, games, DIY make-up competitions and lots of yummy food. O'Connor girls continued to excel at the inter house Athletics competition in Term 111 where we definitely showed that eight legs are just as handy on land as in the water. We also held a House Grammar Idol audition where hidden talents within the maroon House were revealed and O'Connor proved that it had some serious singing talent. Term 111 was finished off perfectly by the arrival of Open Day, where O'Connor's traditional home-baked brownies were once again a favourite among parents, staff and students alike. All the proceeds from these popular treats go to supporting O'Connor's long-time charity, the Timor Children's Foundation. Thanks to the Year 115 who orchestrated this event and whose dedication to the brownie stall was a true credit to the House. With just inter house Choir left in Term N the O'Connor girls had the perfect arena to demonstrate their musical flair. We could not have made this year in O'Connor such a fantastic success without the constant support of our two Heads of House, Mrs Harvey and Ms Boyle, who have made our job incredibly easy and enjoyable. Finally to all the O'Connor girls, you have made us proud to don our maroon outfits and your House spirit has soared to new heights this year. Keep up the good work and thank you for being such a wonderful group to lead. We know that the O'Connor future looks bright and that the House is in capable hands.
