loftier ado G 10 I in. ,, The Year 10 Production was a fantastic collaboration from twelve students who performed a play titled Running Up a Dress by Suzanne Spunner. The play explored the relationship between mothers and daughters by using dress-making as a metaphor One of the biggest hurd es to overcome was finding rehearsal time in the g'rls' busy schedules. To their credit all cast members worked very hard and instinctively developed as an ensemble. hey were very creative and a pleasure to direct for both Ms H Ashford and Mr D Armstrong The performances held in the Gehrmann Theatre on the nights of 28 and 29 of November, were very entertaining and showcased some great talent h this Year level. The girls involved were: Tara Versace (10 ), Mia Tyquin (100), Kate Austin (low), Mackenzie Burn (10E), Paris Hutton (10B), Eden Lawrence 00R), Giulietta Avenia (low), Sarah Norton (10M), Sasha Dyer (IOH), Rebecca Redsell (IOH), Lucinda O'Brien (10E), and Jacqueline Loose (10G)

A group of Years 8 and 9 girls collaborated on a special production in June this year-A Thousand Cranes-a play about a Japanese girl, Sadako, who died from Leukaemia after the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima at the end of the Second World War. Alexandra Phillips (I2E) and Mrs E Patternore, Drama Teacher, provided a great support to the gir s with the'r direction and choreography skills. A Thousand Cranes explored the ancient Japanese story of the power of folding a thousand paper cranes to help someone regain their health, and Sadako has become a symbol for peace throughout the world. The legacy of hope her young life afforded the world was made clear through the folding of paper cranes The physical performance finished with the cast revealing the paper cranes that had been made for Sadako
