The music programme kicked-off 2008 in the inspiring Creative Learning Centre. The specialised rehearsal rooms and individual practice rooms have provided new motivation for students, We have been spoilt by access to new technology and new instruments as well as the myriad little things that help our musical learning.
Music camp was a great success with our Musos '08 rearing and ready for a new year. it was an intense extended weekend filled with music, music, and more music, along with some music on the side! The atmosphere was charged with the energy of the staff and girls, whose combined efforts created an amazing taste of what was to follow in the year ahead. During the year we had the opportunity to work with students from other schools as well as professional musicians' We experienced open workshops with professional opera singer, Ms Lisa Gasteen, and the world renowned Grainger Quartet. These workshops provided incredible opportunities for the students Leigh MCQuade (12R), Ekta Paw (12G) and Felicity Martin (120); and the chamber group to broaden their musical horizons.
