THEATRESPORTS My definition of courage is the strength to hop on stage and perform a humorous scene in front of an audience, with absolutely no preparation. This is exactly what we intrepid Theatres ports girls do. We improvise!
Theatres ports develops not only the necessary physicality and characterisation skills needed for drama but also develops quick thinking, teamwork, a sense of courage, confidence and the ability to provide a performance at short notice. Theatres ports is not only hysterical to participate in but also great fun and provides an adrenalin rush along with being very entertaining to watch. This year Girls Grammar entered two teams: Team Helium-Lucy POSner (I I E), Ellen Harrison (I I R), Shirmani Sighn (I I G) and Greer Be han-Willett (11 R). Team Miscellaneous-Anastasia Be han- Willett (9R), Anna Crawford (10B), and Genevieve Kennedy tit E). Team Helium was successful this year in reaching the quarter finals

'e!^ Grammar Dance replaced Theatre Dance this year with the School forming a relationship with Raw Dance Company The Company has a strong reputation in the area and boasts some famous and experienced dancers such as Jack Chambers from the television programme So You Think You Can Dance. Eighteen girls enjoyed exploring a variety of dance genres throughout the year. Ms L Chambers and Ms K Guest were the group's tutors and have supported the girls by extending their skills, flexibility and strength, as well as choreographing several short pieces for the special performance held on 6 November. Alexandra Phillips (12E) said "This class has allowed the passion of dance to come out in each of the girls' Hip hop, contemporary and jazz are just some of the genres we have explored. it's so much fun dancing together as a group, combining age groups and sharing all of our talents". Congratulations to all of the dancers of Grammar Dance 2008!
