inU TIMED A CLUB This year in Multimedia Club girls expanded their knowledge of Photoshop. They created interesting and unique designs using the pen tool, advanced filters and live effects. Some innovative T-shirt designs were created and members competed in the Gri+nth University International Digital Design Challenge across a variety of categories including Graphic Design, Web Design, Architectural Design, 30 Design and Animation. The Club set up a new committee for a potential online project, a Multimedia Magazine, aptly named Grammarbyte. In this online magazine Grammar girls will have the opportunity to showcase their talents and achievements using a variety of media including video, audio, graphics, animation and text. The Club is currently working on the 'pilot' edition. ^^E^^4 8^0^\ 19^

11 I 11 us 1111/11^ They sleep with one arm coiled around a camera, seek out stories with a notebook in hand and if they were allowed to add a 'press label to the School hat they d do it. Yes, they are the Publications Committee. Throughout 2008 the team has met fortnightly to discuss, contribute to and monitor the progress of this year's Magazine Companion DVD and Senior DVD compilations Beginning by choosing an overall 'retro' theme to link into the 50th birthday of the Beanland Memori I Library, the Committee strove to capture the magic moments and atmosphere of 2008. With the wonders of technology, the DVD has given the Publications Committee resources, space and creativity to play with what our predecessors would only have dreamed of adding t the archival value of the publications. Although pictures, print and paper can never do a year at Brisbane Girls Grammar School coinp ete justice, with such an enthusiastic team, committed to recording and remembering 2008, the spirit of the year shines through in both the Magazine and DVD

Of course none of this would be possible without the support, dedication and tireless efforts of the staff With such a rich history and bright future, it is so important for the School to record each step of its journey in educating young women-the Publications Committee is honoured to have been part of th s role over the past year.
