BEANLAND A year of success, of enthusiasm, of determination, of excitement… of indisputable Beanland spirit.

Various other tough sporting and co- curricular events presented themselves through the year, with Beanland consolidating its successful position with a first place title in Interhouse Cross Country, a very close second place in Athletics and a commendable placing in Interhouse Choir. Beanland House pledged its support to two charities this year, the National Breast Cancer Foundation and Light of Lanka. For all Beanland Bears, 2007 was a year to be remembered. A year of success, of enthusiasm, of determination, of excitement… of indisputable Beanland spirit. In keeping with tradition, Beanland upheld its identity as the “friendly House” this year, and all members demonstrated their strong drive for success in all aspects of school life. Their vitality and strong team effort have created a unique and spirited atmosphere on every occasion. PINK is more that just a colour to Beanland Bears, it’s not an obligation, nor is it a duty, but rather, it’s a form of identity. The foundation of the spirit began with the annual House Party, where the enthusiastic and eager Year 8s were welcomed into the House. “The House Party was awesome… all the pink, all the Beanlanders and all my friends!” (Year 8 student) The success of the year began with the Year 8 Interhouse Volleyball Competition, where Beanland placed first for the first time in four years. Interhouse Swimming closely followed with an enormous effort displayed by all members of the House and a well- earned second place was cemented.
