The highlight in the Lilley calendar would definitely have to be the Lilley House Party – an afternoon of green, green andmore green, which had everyone jumping off their lilley pads with excitement! There were games, skits, dancing, food, winners of the notice board and war cry competitions, not to mention of course the crowning of our Miss Lilley 2006, Manuri Gunawardena (8).
Year 11s
2006 has been full of fun, festivities and Freddos! Our new tadpoles (Year 8s) effortlessly adjusted to life at Grammar, while the oldest frogs (Year 12s) made the most of their last swim in the big Lilley pond and with help fromYears 9, 10 and 11, our strong Lilley spirit was alive and hopping!

Lilley Legends –HoppingThrough2006
while Year 8s manned the House display, meeting next year’s tadpoles and showing them what it’s like to be a Lilley Frog. Our Lilley family came together every Thursday for House Assembly. It was a great opportunity to discuss House matters, play some games and simply relax with our friends. The various House Breakfasts were also enjoyed by our fellow frogs and provided that extra bit of energy to put the hop back in our step. Overall, 2006 has certainly been a fun-filled year to remember. Walt Disney once said, “If you can dream it, you can do it,” and this year Lilley has kept our dream alive and shown that frogs can do anything! So come along and sing our song and join our family, L-I-L-L-E-Y H-O-U-S-E!!!
Fudge Stall
Lilley shone at the many Interhouse events this year, including Interhouse Volleyball for Year 8s, Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics. Other opportunities proved that we really are Lilley Legends, such as Interhouse Choir, where we sang the Jackson 5 classic “I’ll Be There” and the hilarious Interhouse Drama competition, in which we performed “Cinders”, a spin on the well loved tale, “Cinderella”. The action didn’t stop there though; Interhouse Debating and Public Speaking for Years 10 and 12 proved to be an exciting addition to the year and allowed more Lillians to show the competition what we’re really made of. Open Day, in true Lilley style, was a great success. Our Year 11s ran the famous Lilley fudge stall, raising over $1000 for our House charity, Queensland Surf Lifesaving,
