Senior A, coached by Genevieve Burnons and consisting of Katherine Flood 11201, Kathryn Leeke I 12Mj, Katherine Applegarth 111Gj. Peta Rapson 112Bj, Teghan Giarola 11 IGj and Jaclyn Vos100112Lj, were the only Grammar team to win a premiership, claiming victory in eight of their matches and drawing one The Open consisted of two Year I I students, SLacey Jackson IMj and Lauren Mills IMj and two Year 12 students, Gemma Fernan IGl and Samantha Gregg 101 Guided by coach Linda Fallon, the Open team performed well, finishing the season with

>.. With a new Tennis coordinator Mr S Fogarty, and a high standard set during the trials in March, Tennis in 2004 was destined to be successful for Grammar. We have proven in previous seasons that, across the year levels, our teams are capable of outstanding performances that showcase our depth of talent. The Year 8 team finished very strongly to claim second place. The students in this team have potential and should continue to represent Grammar with distinction for the remainder of their time at the School In terms of wins and losses. the Year 9 team were not as successful as they had hoped to be. However they played with determination and pride, setting the benchmark for continued improvement as

they move towards the Senior School. Year I O finished in second place, behind a very strong SL MargaretS team, in what was an evenly matched division. These girls can look forward to next year with the knowledge that they will make very good Senior players Both Senior B and Senior C performed well in their divisions, evidenced by the fact that the matches they won were thoroughly convincing and the matches they lost tended to be close affairs The depth of Grammar Tennis was displayed when two additional teams were entered Into the Senior B and Senior C divisions. Despite the youth of the players in these teams, they showed determination and resilience against much older competition. Senior Bjiij and Senior C(111 were ably led by first-time coaches, Nikki Bennett and Tessa Millman
