Celebrating Bastille Day Bastille Day is the Fete Nationale de France ithe national day) and takes place on July 14. This year to celebrate. the Year 9 BGGS students were invited by their fellow BGS Year 9 French students for a "fete" of their own It was an extremely interesting and enjoyable afternoon with many opportunities to engage in activities that expanded the students' knowledge of French language and culture. There were posters to make. new people to meet, and new tastes to experience such as the potisseri'es eeloi7s 00 chocolot, tortes aux 17mSes and petits pairs au chocolot, which were enjoyed by all

The French teachers from both schools located so conveniently close to one another were encouraged by the success of afternoons such as this one and the French dinner. They look forward to developing an on-going relationship with the classes of both schools to enrich and supplement the language opportunities for every student
