Equestrian The Brisbane Girls Grammar Equestrian team proved once again to be the best school team in Queensland, throughout the very busy equestrian season. There were thirteen competitions in total during the Year with Grammar winning six, and receiving second to fourth placings in ten. Both the riders and their horses performed consistently all season, In each of the five disciplines of the sport. These results were boosted by the support from the School, which allowed the team to run several training camps, and employ a coach and an assistant coach Grammar hosted two very successful competitions this season. A Hack Day was held at Brookfield Showgrounds on 10 June, with BGGS placing first and third. Katherine Barr and Kyra Bartley Grammar was also placed fourth in the State. with the team of Amy Clunes, Sarah Delahaye and Ashley Hew From 21 to 23 September, fifteen Grammar riders represented BGGS at the Dressage, Showjumping. Combined Training and Hacking State Finals held at the Toowoomba Showgrounds. The Dressage competition, held on the first day, proved to be Grammar's strongest area. BGGS placed first in the State with the team of Elizabeth Ielley. Anna Humphries. Rachel Brett and Katherine Hogarth. Another team of Casey Ferris, Dale Archibald. Ashley Hew and Elke Bell were placed third in the State

On the second day of the competition, both the Showjumping and Combined Training teams placed fifth. The Showjumping team consisted of Casey Ferris, Katherine Barr, Kyra Bartley and Alex O'Connell and the Combined Training team members were Casey Ferris, Katherine Barr, Kyra Bartley and Sarah Dejahaye On the third and final day of the State Championships. the Hacking discipline was held and final presentations were made. Grammar teams finished the season well, placing both second and fifth in the State. Elizabeth leiley, Anna Humphries, Katherine Hogarth, and Elke Bell were the members of the team that placed second, and Casey Ferris.
