In 2002, Girls Grammar entered three teams in the competition, two in the U16 division and one in the U18 division The U16 teams consisted of girls from Years 8.9 and 10. A consistent effort and hard work in games and training paid off in the marked improvement over the season in ball skills, fitness and team cohesion. The most exciting game in the season resulted from the two teams battling it out against each other, with the in 6.1 team narrowly defeating the U16.2 team. The highlight of the season was defeating the top ranked team, Grace College, in a tough and exciting game Each member of the team contributed her own individual talents, such as Sarah Cohen's fantastic shooting and Tullia Jack's determined defence, creating a great team that learned a great deal and had lots of fun Warm thanks must go to the past student coaches, Lauren Goode, Amelia Kerlin and Sasha Ulasowski, and basketball co- ordinator.
