The girls worked extremely hard throughout the season and performed with precision on the day. Their efforts were rewarded with a very close second to More ton Bay College. With the trials beginning in February this Year, the BGGS gymnasts were in for a season full of hard work and commitment. A team of 42 girls was selected to compete for BGGS at the aGSSSA Artistic Gymnastics competition ensured a quality performance in all grades of the competition and lead to winning five of the seven available pennants The Year 8 competition started well with strong performances on all apparatus and the achievement of a pennant in the 8121 competition and a second placing in the 8111 competition The girls in 8111 must be especially coinmended on achieving the highest overall score by a Year 8 Grammar team recorded In the 'sacred' score book The D Grade team, a mixture of D Grade veterans and girls new to the sport, maintained our continued success in this grade of the competition. Din and D(21 were extremely dominant with an average of 9.1 scored by both teams A win in the C Grade competition was well-earned with routines being performed with flair and impressively high scores The B Grade team endured injuries and illness throughout the season. and because of the determination and the thoughtful actions of Maxine Rayner This reduction of the team's usual size
