Swimming Swimming season 2002 commenced with a preseason swimming camp, held at Runaway Bay Sports Super Centre on the Gold Coast. Forty-eight girls attended the camp, with the new Year 8 swimmers being welcomed by the Seniors. The girls managed to make it through seven challenging two-hour training sessions with the help of social activities, including visits to Harbour Town. The team had the chance to rub shoulders with the OAS Swim Squad and have photographs taken with the likes of Grant Hackett and Liesel iones The camp proved to be a huge success in developing our swimmers and was a wonderful opportunity for the girls to experience the Grammar spirit so early In the season

The annual inter house Swimming Carnival was held on Friday I March at the 51eeman Sports Complex, Chandler. This proved to be a very enjoyable and successful day. It gave the swimmers a chance to experience the atmosphere of Chandler one week prior to the aGSSSA Swimming, the big event of the season England House was especially successful as they won the Lilley Inter house Swimming Cup and the Lt Col Plant Challenge Cup for individua events for the first t me since 1986. Congratulations must also go to Woolcock House for winning the Burrell Cup for Relays. The Individual age champions were
