Camp Poem By 9F Another Friday

Stepping out of the city and into the bush. students followed clues left behind by the old prospector Bill F1anagan. This treasure hunt followed the trials and tribulations of Old Bill and his lost love. With a healthy dose of teamwork and some clever compass work the Year 8 classes managed to find the ingredients needed for their lunch on a rock across Yabba Creek. if only they knew how to build a raft to get across to it Each group successfully captured their lunch in 2002 and camp was set-up under the shade of the beautiful Weeping Figs at the 80rumba Deer Park. It was here that the real fun began when the girls camped overnight, cooked on open fires and searched for native animals after dark. Gerri from Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service talked with the girls about endangered wildlife and brought along a feather tailed glider orphan that she was caring for

Ride back Hot day Don't stack

Clean up Shower time

Clean at last

No mud or grime

Lunch-relax

Red faces

Laugh all night Take photos Fight fight fight

There's more to come
