Calligraphy Group Continuing the great efforts and enthusiasm from last year, the Japanese Calligraphy lessons in 2001 proved to be a lot offun, as well as being informative for the participants Although there were only a small number of regular members this year, they appreciated the calligraphy practice as a great artistic experience and an exciting way of exploring Japanese culture The sessions were well organised by Mrs Takizawa, and members had meetingsThursday afternoon in the Art room from 3.30pm - 430pm Under the guidance of a skifful, optimistic, professional teacheL Mr Konina, the girls practised writing their chosen phrases with great enjoyment

Many thanks must go to our coordinator, Mrs Takizawa, and our teacher, Mr Konina, for making the sessions delightful and valuable As proud members of the Japanese Calligraphy group we appreciate the possibilities and opportunities offered and we hope that this unique activity will continue to blossom in the future
