The Senior teams had an extremely impressive season of netball The Senior CS were successful in all matches except for the last round, losing narrowly to St Peters, placing them second overall. The Senior BS came third and the Senior As came fifth to round off enjoyable and competitive seasons. Outstanding included Carolina Robinson, Kate Brideaux. Kate Ashby, Mad Jenkins and Holly Clarke The Open team. under the guidance of coach Am anda VanderWal, remained undefeated until the last round where they faced the tough and equally undefeated St Peters to decide the QG premiers. The team, consisting of Elise Denman and Allssa Castrisos as captains, Camilla Roberts, Emma Byme. Geordan Shannon, Sally Douglas, Rebecca White, He Ien North, Sarah Perrett. and lessica Mitchell. put In a strong performance, especially in the first quarter, but unfortunately were defeated, still placing second overall in the competition Four members of the Open team, A1issa Castrisos, He Ien North, Camilla Roberts and Rebecca White, were selected un representative teams during the season. A1issa and Hden were selected in the Open Metropolitan North NetballTeam who placed second in the State Championships. A1issa was further selected in the Queensland Open Schoolgirls Team. Camilla. Rebecca and A1issa also were selected in state league teams this year With the 2001 netball season over, all girls can look forward to continuing the Grammar netball tradition in years to come. All girls are to be coinmended on their dedication to the sport this year and the way in which they have displayed sportsmanship, spirit and camaraderie The quality and standard of play in 2001 has been exceptional, resulting in a highly successful and enjoyable
