The Senior teams overall had an extremely impressive season of netball. The Senior C team won algames with the exception of the wind-affected St Peter's game, going down by the smallest of margins, but still ensuring that the premiership would be theirs. A great example of Grammar excellence was set by the Senior B's, which saw the superb combination of ten players and coach Brenda Carson (Netball Captain 1996), complete the season undefeated. These girls and their coach epitomise Grammar netball with their restrained yet competitive approach to their sport. The Senior A and Open teams both had great seasons, losing only three games in some hard fought matches. We're sure all the senior players thoroughly enjoyed the season, especially the Year 12s who will surely remember this, theirlast year of Grammar netball. Four members of the Open team were selected in representative teams during season 2000. They included A1issa Castrisos, Camilla Roberts, He Ien North and Rebecca White. Each made Metropolitan North teams with A1issa going on to be selected in the Queensland Open team and He Ien as a shadow player in the Under 15 team. Allssa and Rebecca were also selected in State League teams this This season, in addition to the QGSSSA competition, the Open team competed in the MIM Vicki Wilson Cup, which is a state-wide competition in which 24 schools took part. After successfully playing five Regional preliminary matches, Grammar earned the right to compete against the other eight Regional final ists in the State final. Grammar was placed third behind John Paul College and, State Champions for 2000, St Peter's Lutheran College. All in all it is evident that Grammar has once again achieved highly in all areas of netball this year with a great display of sportsmanship and a tremendous sense of school spirit, commitment to the team and the love of the season
