Term Two began with the traditional May Concert Series in the first two weeks. The Series consisted of an impressive cross-section of junior, intermediate and senior groups, allowing almost every music group in the school to perform and reveal the depth of Grammar music. After many weeks and months of anticipation and preparation, the day we'd all been waiting for finally came. A stunning Gala Concert in City Hall featuring the Chamber Orchestra, Symphonic Winds, Chamber Singers, Big Band, Grammar Singers, Symphony Orchestra and Massed Choir, Girls Grammor Calebmtes was the spectacular result of hard work, enormous effort and musical talent contributed by the Music staff, students and parents alike. With special guests John Colwill and Peta Blyth, the afternoon was a magnificent occasion celebrating the School's 125th Birthday with much flair and gusto. A huge thank you to all who were involved in this event: our wonderful Music Directors and Coordinators;the staff and past students who augmented the performances; and the Music Support Group, who worked tirelessly to decorate and set up the hall. Congratulations to all the students who committed themselves to ensuring the concert was a huge success.
