The musical highlight of Term One was undoubtedly the wonderful Praise and Thanksgiving Service, held on the School's Foundation Day - 15 March - in the City Hall. It was a memorable and rewarding day as the entire school came together to celebrate the School's 125th Birthday. The Music Department played a key role in the day's celebrations, which included the presentation of the new School Song, Nil Sine Labore, specially composed for the school by Mr Richard Gill, to the text written by Mrs Syvetlana Hadgraft. The following week the Autumn Music Concert was held, featuring a wide variety of enthusiastic music groups, including a Year 8 Classroom Choir. The annual Solo and Performance Week also provided a chance for many of our chamber groups and individual musicians to gain valuable performing experience.
