1989 School Magazine

For their outstanding effort, all the above winners were chosen to compete in the Queensland Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships in July. The School should be justly proud of such an impressive team. I would like to thank not only Mrs Henry for her continual suppoft and coaching, but also the team for their outstanding efforts. It has been a great year, and even though I was unable to participate I appreciated the companionship, and the op- portunity to develop my leadership skills. Not actually run- ning myself, allowed me to put more energy into supporting the team and help them achieve their personal bests. I take this opportunity to wish the best of luck to next yearfs Cap- tain and Team. Cindy Fripp

The next event on the calendar was the Brisbane North Regional Cross Country Championships which were held at Kedron Park State High School on 11th May. The team was now in fine form and arrived on the day keen and eager to take on the opposition!! Teamwork was evident as we achieved a final placing of third. Many individual efforts were also commendable:
