THE HEAD BOARDERS' REPORT Mrs Hancock, the Resident Staff and Senior Boarders were on hand at the beginnlng of Term 1 to welcome the new Year B Boarders and their parents, who were invited to have dinner at the School with their daughters, and meet House Croup teachers and Miss O'Sullivan, the Year 8 Level Supervisor. The following evening, Years 9, '1 0 and 1l came bacl< after their long, hot summer holiday. The first term was full of social events and other activities which expanded the girls' social horizons. On 28 January we held our first Boarders' Concert for the year, and it was here that we discovered that the Brisbane Cirls' Crammar School Boarding House was full of hidden talent and clever performers. The entertainment ranged from music and dancing to acting, and everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The next day the Year 12 dorm held a carwash for charity, the water soaking bodies as rvell as cars. On 4 February there was a dance for Year-l 1 and Year 12 at Brisbane Crammar School and everyone had a great time with our male counterparts. There was also a great games afternoon for the Year 8's with Brisbane Crammar School, and everyone seemed to have an enjoyable afternoon.

The second term began with coffee nights and dances with Boys' Crammar for the various year groups. Our next car wash was shared by Years B Io 12, the charity this time being the Beaudesert Ambulance Brigade. lt was an unreal day and everyone came in tanned and tired! Our big weekend of Term 1 -l began on Saturday 3 June with School Day. All Boarders actively participated in the chip selling, raffle ticket selling and Boarding House tours, as well as the various Day School activities. Mrs Janke and a dedicated group of Boarders performed an Aerobic routine on the flagpole lawn, Year 'l 2 were of course models in the Mannequin Parade, and others from various grades performed in different areas. On 4 June we had our Annual Boarders' Concert and Musical and they were both a huge success. Our parents, relatives and friends were invited to a barbecue lunch which was follor, ved by a screening of the school video, then the first half of the entertainment program, with an instrumental ensemble, including Miss Myers, opening the proceedings. There were piano, instrumental, singing and dancing items, and lots of proud parents in the audience. The second half was the successful musical, "H.M.S. Pinafore", where the Cirls'Crammar Boarders exceeded all
