expectationsl (That is a purely objective opinion.) Thanks to Mrs Best for helping produce the concert. Term 111 was exclusively socially ortented, with two dances in close succession. Firstly, on 15 July, we had a dance with ..... yes, wait for it ..... Brisbane Boys' College. That was a cool night, where the girls discovered that the whole male population does NOT go to Boys' Crammar. Later on there was another dance with Boys'Crammar, which was good. We also met two new Mistresses who temporarily joined the staff for one term. They come from England and Northern lreland, and have settled in well and seem to have adapted to the Boarding House environment. The Boarding House also acquired a new telephone which eased the strain on our social lives. Year 12 designed and had made Footy Jerseys, exclusively for their year. You will have noticed them when they gave the final choral item at our concert. The Boarders are all looking irresistible because they are wearing their unreal Boarders' T-Shirts. Everyone just has to stop and look at us when we Pass! There have been many of our girls successfully involved rn the different sports offered in the school. We have a number of stars in the Boarding House - Meredith
Bochmann, from Year B, is a champion long distance runner, Vanessa Lohrisch, from Year 9, is a champion swimmer, and our two basketball stars in Year 11 are Emma Appleton and Susan Proctor. Yes, the Boarding House could make up the whole Australian Olympic Team, but we don't, because we want to give the not-so-gifted people a chance. This year the following girls held responsible positions in the Boarding House: Head Boarders Year 10 Dormitory Seniors Kim Wettenhall, Angela Reilly Year 11 Dormitory Seniors Shelley East, Alison McArthur Mail Cirl Kim Nrcholls Dining Room Seniors Susan Howes, Carla Fitzsimmons Musical Directors Emma Lewis, Wendy Levy It was also great to have Diana Lohrisch elected as one of the two Head Cirls of the school. lt has been a good year and one we will long remember.
