ENGLAND 1989 England House, activities started off with a bang. We introduced the Crade Eights to house spirit with a grade 12/ 8 picnic, the highlight of which was a huge blue cake. YUM!! Later we had a B.B.Q. for all years which was enjoyed by all. The first of our interhouse activities, the swimming, was not a tremendous success, although House Spirit was excellent, and we were able to show off our new shirts. England then put in a great effort in the lnterhouse Cross-country. Overall we came fourth, thanks to the fabulous results of all girls involved. Thanks go to Erica Fryberg who once again wrote a successful play to earn us first place in lnterhouse Drama. This couldn't have happened without the contributions of all the girls involved. Their performance on the night was outstandi ng. As a result of unfortunate circumstances, our results in Artis- tic Cymnastics were disappointing; however, all the girls involved put in a superb effort. Rhythmic Cymnastics was enjoyed by all. Thanks must go to all girls who competed. We're looking forward to a great day at Athletics. l'm sure House Spirit will be overwhelming. We also have the lnterhouse Choral Competition in October. Finally, good luck for all house activities next year. We hope next year's Captain, Vice Captain, and keen house suppofters have as much fun as we did.
