CLARSNffiT Cffi@HR The Clarinet Choir provides girls at the school with an opportunity to play in ait ensemble of clarinets. The choir combines levels of experience and expertise in r relaxed and friendly atmosphere, providing an enjoyable learning experience for all. As a group we have performed at music concerts held at the school, obtaining of course, the loudest applause! Within the choir there is a quartet consisting of the more advanced players. This year the quartet has beeir specializing in more diff icult works of the modern era - Hrnrn. We ferformed recently at the Master Class held ai B.G.G.S., and also for the Mothers' Croup. Both performances were lots of fun. The Brisbane Eisteddfod, Pine Rivers Competition ancj other music concerts, not to mention School Day are all yet to be conquered; no doubt we will maintain our high standard... I would personally like to thank Mrs Lockwood whose expertise, knowledge, time and patience we could not have done without! To those girls past and preseni who have made the Clarinet Choir such an enjoyable experience with so many happy memories, and squeaks, for me, good lucl< for the future and I will miss you' P'S' we won at Pine Rivers' Dimity Scholray

sffiNH@R C@NCHRT ffiANM The Concert Band enjoyed a very exciting beginning to 1988, with most band members performing in the combined band and orchestra which played for the opening of Expo 88. The experience was a valuable one relished by all who participated. The band has also played in competitions and concerts throughoutthe year, exploring a wide variety of classical and contemporary music under the expert baton of Mr Bernie Hoesman. This year saw the expansion of the band to include some talented players from the junior school. We have all enjoyed having them as members. I sincerely thank Mr Hoesman for his enthusiasm and expertise in motivating the band to achieve the high standard we have attained, and all the girls for their dedication. lwish future members success and enjoyment in their participation in the group.
