F!.UTE QUARTET

'1988 has been a special year f or the members of the f lute quartet, Katie Bleakley, Elizabeth Murrell, Kylie Vann and Heidi Webster, who had performed together in larger f lute ensembles but not previously as a quartet. We have enjoyed performing a variety of contemporary and classical chamber music in music concerts throughout the year. Performing in a masterclass for ensembles conducted by the members of the Sirius Ensemble, we were Siven invaluable advice f rom musicians expert in the art of ensemble playing. The flute quartet has enjoyed the unique experien(e that working as a small ensemble provides. I wish the continuing musicians success in 1989, and sincerely hope they continue the small f Iute ensembles I have enjoyed over the years. Heidi Webster
