Q.G"5.5.S"4. ARTSSTE e GVft/€ NASTE eS 6.15a.m. (or thereabouts) on Monday 9th February over f ifty keen students woke up to the startling noise of their alarms. Only seven days back at school and the gymnasts are at it again. Two mornings a week plus one afternoon for fifteen weeks were spent running, rolling, jumping and stretching under the watchful gaze of Mrs Starr-Thomas and her new and old recruits - the dedicated, undaunted and determined coaches. With only five weeks to go before the Q.G.S.S.S.A. competition, on May 20th and 2-lst, it was time to get down to real business! The teams were selected and trainings intensified, with the addition of an extra afternoon training, an occasional Saturday morning, and a meet with St Peter's in their gymnasium a fortnight prior to the competition, which proved to be to our a dva nta ge.
