Decked out in our green gearr Lilley arrived in style at the swimming and managed to do extremely well with an overall second placing. It was evident that the whole of Lilley had trained as hard as the Crade Twelve oar race team (which also managed a second placing), and even the teachers got into the spirit of things. Katie Gordon, Kerri Kuskie and Cathy Taylor wrote, directed and starred in the lnter-House Drama play, "Life", which received a commendable fourth placing. Thanks must also go to allthe cast, backstage and lighting CTEW. Cheering our girls on at the lnter-House cross-country paid off. Thanks to many fine individual efforts throughout the grades, Lilley scored second place overall. Under the watchf ul eyes of Sonda Banney and Helen Merry, training for the Inter-House gymnastics competition commenced many weeks before the actual events. Attention to detail, skill and grace helped Lilley to hold its head up once again. ln artistic gymnastics we came second and in rhythmic gymnastics fifth. But the year is not over yet. Still to come are the athletics competition and the lnter-House choral competition in which we will sing our song "A Sunburnt Country". lt has been a pretty good year overall with many funny moments that I'm sure the Crade Twelves will never forget. Good luck to next year's Crade Twelves in organising house events and yourselves, because it's not as easy as it looks! lhope Lilley maintains the ultimate status as the "Lilley Leaping Legends", for we have worked hard at "freeing the frog" this year.
