VOLLEYBATT The Volleyball season this year has proved very successful. We started our training as far back as March under th" guidance of Miss Dempsey. As a pre-season warm-up the A-Grade team toured New Tealand with the other school winter f ixture teams. Even though the results were a little disappointing with the team winning only 1 game out of 5, the tour provided a stable basis for the season to come. Meanwhile, the B and C Crade were training hard at home. As a result of the enthusiasm anci hard work that was shown throughout the season, each team improved with every game. The results for the season were: A Crade - tie fo r 4th with Somerville House 1984 has also witnessed the inclusion of a B.G.G.S. team in the Brisbane Metropolitan U19 Competition. This has assisted the preparation of our teams for Q.G.S.S.S.A. com petitio n. Overall we had a thoroushly enjoyable season and a fitting end was the fantastic break rp party held at the H udson's place. Thanks must be extended to Miss Dempsey because without her time, eff ort and enth usiasm, the season wou ld n't have been as successful. Thanks also to the supporters who came thoughout the season.
