NEW ZEALAND TOUR REPORT During the last 10 days of 1st Semester break, B.C.G.S. sent 35 representatives of the various winter sports to New Zealand. This was the first time that a tour of this nature has been conducted by the School. The tour was a preparatory warm up for the Q.G.S.S.S.A. Competition and it allowed the Hock"y, Netball, Tennis and Volleyball players to gain valuable practice and experience. All girls played to the best of their ability and were rewarded with several successes. The aim of the tou r was f u lf illed, in that everyone had an enjoyable and successf ul 1gB4 season. On behalf of all the girls we would like to thank Miss Williamson (Hockey), Janelle Derrington (Netball), Peter Sinden (Tennis) and Miss Dempsey (Volleyball) for their support and encouragement on the tour. A special thank you to our manageress Mrs. Pauline Harvey-Short, without whom the tou r wou ld not nearly have been so enj oyable. Your enthusiasm was greatly uppreciated!! Thank you also to all those people who helped to raise money for the trip especially the committee.
