YEAR 12 DINNER DANCE REPORT
and the Head Girls, then ushered inside for a night to re me m ber. Tony Dangerf ield, the D.J. helped to exhaust everyone with his extensive range of music, while Gambaro's kept the stomachs happy with a delicious meal of chicken vol a'vent, veal scallopini and tartuffa. The release of the balloons at midnight was a major highlight of the evening. Thanks go to the parents on the Dinner Dance Committee who worked extremely hard to make the night a success. We all had a terrific time!
Despite the tricky change of nam€, the symptons were all familiar - palpitations of the heart when a guy came near (wou ld he be the one?), the sudden interest in expensive material and the instant boom in the plastic su rgery ind ustry . These were none other than the symptoms of "Formal Fever". On the 28th of Septem ber, the Yea r 12 Din ner Dance was held at Gambaro's Restaurant in Caxton Street. After months of low-prof ile organisation the night had f inally arrived. Girls arrived in their silks and taffetas (with the "men" dragging behind) to be greeted by Mrs. Bain
