MORETON ISLAND ESCAPE PIAN 1984 The Barge set sail on a sunny day The weather calm and clear With Captain James at the steering wheel For a two hour tour, a two hour tour TH U N DERBOLT The weather started getting rough The tiny barge was tossed lf not for the courage of Captain James The barge would be lost, the barge would be lost The barge was beached on the shore of th is u nchartered desert isle With Captain James, the skipper too, The Grammar Cirls and their bags The Camera buff, the professors and Mr. Miles, Here on Moreton lsle. On the 5th of March, a horde of Grammar Cirls and a handf u I of teachers arrived on Moreton lsland (as a result of Mr. Stuart's Moreton lsland Escape Plan), thanks to the expert steering of Captain James Bromiley. After herding us on to our bev?tr, sorry Bedford truck, we took off along the length of the island arriving at our campsite in record time due to the drag races the teachers insisted on having with lan (the truck driver), along the beach. Apart f rom a few minor hurts inf licted from low-lying branches rebounding off the truck, or in many cases Mrs. Lynch's head, there were no major incidents during the trip. The weather was good as we set up caffip, but a vicious storm broke on the first night almost drowning a select few. The rain continued, dampening everything but our spirits as we toured the island visiting the lighthouse and the Blue Lagoon (much to our dismay Chris Atkins and Brooke Shields were not sighted). Our own Bargette Quintet performed nightly, and before the campf ire, we were subjected to musical feats never before experienced by .ankind. On leaving they composed a song of thanks and praise based on our infamous Thank you hymn which expressed all the girls' appreciation and enjoyment.

Thank you Mr. Bromiley, Jamie, Mr. Miles, The Fairlie (happy) family, Robert, Mr. and Mrs. O'Shea, Mrs. Lynch, lan the Bevan truck driver and Mr. Stuart although he didn't find us a real toilet. Thank you, for taking us to Moreton Thank you we had a bulk fun time Thank you Uncle lan we love you 'Cause of all you've done.
