TNTERA"CT REtr@RT T'he 1983 office bearers officially took up their positions in September of X982. One of the first activities was a fund raising effort for F'reedorn from Hunger. The traditional Christmas Party was held at Xavier and Montrose F{omes for crippled children. This was combined with E.G.S. Interacters and was very successful. The executive were advised of the responsibilities of their positions at the Xnstructional Seminar at Clayfield College in February. March 20th saw the first of our doorknocks. A total of five doorknocks were 'done' and all were very successful, except perhaps the one where we collected a grand total of $1 3.90!

wj F'our of our club members hosted billets from Sunbury in Melbourne as part of, an exchange between clubs. The nnteracters from Melbourne stayed a total of seven days, and finished their stay with a barbecue at school. Three daring girls braved the rnuddy waters of the tsrisbane River on the ts.G.S. raft entry in the R.otaract Raft Race, one day in May. ,Apart from holding the raft together with their feet, wearing out their arm muscles cornpletely and coming about tenth, it was very successful. On School Day we held a raffle for a grocery hamper and set up a display of the year's activities. Junior trnteract has continued this year under the direction of Amanda Moore and Liz O'Shea, and a very capable president. F{opefully this group will officially join nnteract next year.

We all tested our physical endurance at the Easter Party on March 27th. This was held at school with children from Brisbane Central State School. We were even graced with the presence of the Easter tsunny (or is that Easter Eunty?) who gave Easter eggs to each of the children. In March we collected piles of sheets for a R.otaract charity. These were ripped up as bandages for the Leprosy Mission. Thanks must go to those who donated sheets and towels.

Thanks must go to Mr. Skett and Mr. Logan, our Rotarians from Windsor Rotary Club, to Mrs. Sharma our enthusiastic and understanding staff representative, and to Mrs. Hancock, all of whom have provided much encouragement. Thanks must also go to our District Representative Mimi Cardell, and to everyone who gave support and generous donations. Best of luck to next year's Interact club and its Executive. Anna Cowie, (Club President)

Nine Interacters participated in the anti-litter week opening at the Crest Hotel. This turned out to be a different task to what we anticipated when we performed a skit in front of television cameras. To raise money for our sponsor child, Erwin Felix, a group of us walked a distance of about ten kilometres from school to Chris Lovelock's house at Clayfield. About $150 dollars was raised through this effort.
