sH@w cx{@gT{ After three years, Show Choir is now a well-established singing group. Consisting of six boys and six girls, we sing modern, up-tempo rnusic using microphones and taped backing. T'his year we have had the welcome assistance of Mrs. Xfing and Wendy Macdrthur who have helped us greatly with choreography. Our first performance this year was in the May Recital Evening, where we presented ".Iamboree" and an arrangement of tsarry Manilow's "Let's F{ang On". Soon afterwards we joined the Music Tour to Rockhampton, adding a medley of "hickey country tunes" to our presentation. d-ate in third term, after learning a trilogy of Christopher Cross songs, we sang at the B.G.S From, leaving one more school concert for 1983, the E.G.G.S. Prom in October, we also hope to perform at a shopping centre on Thursday night in October or November. Thanks must go to Scott Kirkman of B.G.S. for organising the sound equipment, and of course to Mr. Wakefield for his Friday afternoons. A lot of work has gone into costurnes, singing and choreography this year and we are most grateful to all involved.

COF{CERT CF{O{R Concert Choir began the year brightly, bursting at the seams with new mernbers. Our enthusiasm has not waned since then, ensuring that each practice is first and foremost an exercise in driving Mr. Wakefield to insanity. F{ence thp formation of the Rod Brockett Fressure Group, to reinstate a banished bass. We did squeeze in performances, though, which included the March and May B.G.G.S. Recital Evenings, the Music Camp Concert, the concerts on tour, and the B.G.S. Prom Concert. We will also perform at the B.G.G.S. Prom Concert in October Perhaps the highlight of the year was a visit to the school in August by the California State University Choir, which was completing a tour of New Zealand and Australia. Several other schools joined us for the afternoon' which involved a superb concert by the American choir, conducted by Frank Pooler, followed by a choral workshop for school students and visiting teachers. The venture was most successful. Many thanks to Miss Turner for her continued support on the piano, and to Mr. Wakefield for his effort and expenditure of ncrvous energy throughout the year.
